Ch. 49 Ep. 3: Post-Program Interviews
And thus ends the program to try out different departments in order to fill the school pamphlets with everything wonderful about Nijigasaki. Mifune interviews everyone who took part.
Shioriko
Did you all enjoy your chance to try out different classes from the other departments?
Ai
Yeah, it rocked! Thanks a million, Shio-ti.
Shioriko
I'm glad you had such a good time. That makes all the effort worth it.
Player
You tried out every department, right, Ai?
Lanzhu
Man, I wish I could have done that too.
Kasumi
Yeah! I wanted to go to class with the prez too.
Rina
I hope we do this again.
Shioriko
This was only a trial run, but I will ask the school authorities to let us continue it in the future as well.
Shioriko
For that, I'd like to gather detailed testimonials about the program from all of you.
Shioriko
This information, coupled with a survey from all program participants, would be included in the school pamphlet.
Setsuna
I can take care of that. I'd be happy to relate all the special experiences I had in this program…
Setsuna
…but I could talk for hours and never be finished!
Shioriko
I'd rather you exercise brevity, please.
Setsuna
Oh, right. Heh heh…
Player
I'll take notes of whatever you guys say.
Shioriko
That would be much appreciated. Then Setsuna, if you'd be so kind, tell us about your experience in the second-year data analysis course.
Setsuna
Sure! I piloted a robot!
Shioriko
Uh… Do you mean you entered pre-programmed controls to move a robot…?
Setsuna
Yeah, I guess you could put it that way.
Setsuna
Anyway, I fully believe that as technology advances, it won't be long before we start making robots that administer justice!
Setsuna
When that day comes, I plan to sign up to pilot one. Now I'm inspired to train every day just for that.
Setsuna
It was such…such a valuable experience!
Shioriko
Thank you. In other words, you discovered a new viable career path. That sounds like quite a valuable experience indeed.
Shioriko
Next, Rina and Kasumi, would you please tell us about your experiences in the first-year international exchange course?
Kasumi
Shizuko's awesome.
Rina
Shizuku is incredible.
Shioriko
…And would you be so kind as to tell us about the course itself?
Rina
We acted out a shop scenario. That was fun. I practiced shopping in a foreign country.
Rina
Now I feel okay about going to Mia's, Emma's, or Lanzhu's home countries someday. Rina-chan Board says, Victory!
Lanzhu
Whoo-hoo! Come visit, and I'll show you around anytime.
Emma
Same here. Come to Switzerland, and I'll take you to get great cheese and sweet treats.
Rina
Will do.
Shioriko
And you, Kasumi? My understanding is that Mia helped you with your language skills.
Kasumi
I'll say! With my flawless command of body language, I got a bajillion times more adorable!
Kasumi
Now that I recognize that the language barrier's no big deal, I bet I could go overseas and be just fine.
Shioriko
…In other words, you had quite a rewarding experience studying language.
Player
Yeah, uh, I'll write that…
Shioriko
Next, would Emma and Lanzhu share their experiences in the clothes designing course?
Emma
We made new clothes from older ones. I bet this will help us in making school idol costumes too.
Lanzhu
Karin was incredible. She could take stuff that was the wrong size and make it fit perfectly. I was shocked!
Emma
We made lots of great things out of our old clothes.
Lanzhu
Yeah, I'm glad we could make presents for all you guys.
Shioriko
Your gift startled me. Thank you, I'll take great care of it.
Shioriko
And now, let us go to Ai. You tried all the classes that were offered, correct?
Ai
Sure did. Okay, so first up I started with a food design course in the life design department.
Ai
Making a menu while keeping calories and nutrition was like a puzzle. It was a lot of fun.
Ai
I felt like I was playing a game, but then I used that menu to help make dinner. So it really came in handy!
Ai
My time in the international exchange course was like what the others said. Even if it was in another language, I still got what the other person wanted to say. That's huge.
Ai
Vocab and grammar's important and all, but what matters most is the heart.
Kasumi
Uh-huh! You just made a great point.
Ai
That's because I'm a body language whiz too.
Ai
And after that, there was music! It was pretty astonishing. Even though I'm a school idol, I know next to nothing about music.
Ai
About all I've ever thought when listening to it is, “Oh, I like this song” or “This is making me pumped!” But now I can see the theory aspect of it too.
Shioriko
I see… Now I would like to try this program myself. It'd be lovely if we could keep it going.
Ai
Yeah, let's give it a shot. And it's great for how it lets us make friends with girls in all the other departments!
Ai
Let's convince the teachers to keep the program going, Shio-ti!
Shioriko
Let's.
