Kanan Ep. 17: More Practice to Be Done!
AZALEA has gathered on the rooftop for dance practice. After running it a few times, their moves that were off-sync at the beginning have improved dramatically.
Player
The three of you will be starting your dance practice as of today. Have you all memorized your moves?
Dia
Of course.
Hanamaru
Wow, zura. You're amazing, Dia. I'm still a little unsure.
Kanan
It's okay. There's still time until the actual show, so just pick it up at your own pace, Hanamaru.
Hanamaru
Okay.

Hanamaru, Kanan, Dia

Kanan
This is where all three of us form a line and then… Strike a pose!
Player
Wow! You ended things beautifully!
Dia
*Pant* *Pant* Just the end, though. It was also only by chance that we happened to get the timing right there.
Hanamaru
I'm sorry. I messed up so much in the second half, zura…
Kanan
You danced great for the first half. It's still early on, so it's only natural for us to not be in sync right away.
Player
Kanan's right. I think you guys synced up pretty well for your first run at timing it together. You'll probably polish it up pretty quickly at this rate.
Dia
It will not go so smoothly. This has happened many times in the past. We either end up finishing as scheduled from the outset or somewhat late.
Player
I think it's pretty impressive as it is to finish on schedule…
Kanan
Great results will slip through our fingers if we keep thinking so negatively. Let's give the dance another run-through and figure out the bits that we're likely to mess up.
Hanamaru, Dia
(Hanamaru) Okay! (Dia) Very well.
Player
(Kanan is cuter than she usually is when she's in AZALEA, but she sure is dependable in times like these.)
[Fade in/out.]

Wow! It's incredible how much you've been able to sync up in a single day!
Kanan
I think we've pretty much mastered the parts that we slipped up on at the beginning.
Hanamaru
Yup! I won't mess up anymore, zura. I feel like I've memorized more than when I practiced on my own, zura.
Dia
I thought that I'd perfected it all, but dancing together with you two made me realize the quirks and mistakes I had subconsciously incorporated. I think I've addressed them.

Don't jinx it now! While we have gotten more in sync, there are still some instances where our timing is slightly off.

Hanamaru

Dia
We are still slightly off-sync, but I believe we have stopped at a good place. Let's call it a day—
Kanan
What are you talking about? The sun hasn't set yet. If we don't solidify this sense of unified rhythm right now, we might forget it by tomorrow.
Kanan
Let's give our dance one more run-through!
