Kanan Ep. 18: Making Sure She's Resting
Everyone in AZALEA is worn out from several days of tough practice. Kanan is the only one who still has energy, but you, Dia, and Hanamaru are worried about her. You three suggest a day off tomorrow.
Kanan
A day off?
Player
Yeah. There's no group practice tomorrow, or self-practice. School's out too, so how about you three just relax tomorrow?
Kanan
Whaaat? Why?
Dia
Please don't look so disappointed. We've been practicing really late recently anyway. I'm sure even you're starting to feel the fatigue.
Kanan
I don't feel particularly tired or anything, though.
Hanamaru
I think you could be tired even without realizing, zura. By the time you realize, it's already too late, zura!
Dia
It's just as Hanamaru says. If you ruin your health right before the live show, that's all of our hard work down the drain.
Kanan

Player
Hear them out, okay, Kanan?
Kanan
Fine… I'll get plenty of rest tomorrow so I can try even harder during practice!
[Fade in/out.]
Player
(Or so she says, but will Kanan really take a proper break? Her annoyance at having to rest is written all over her face.)
Player
(I know she's looking forward to performing as AZALEA again, but even Dia and Hanamaru are worried about her. I'd better pay her a surprise visit to make sure she's resting!)

Here I am! I suppose I'll head right in.
Kanan
Huh?!
Player
Um… Kanan?
Kanan
A-Ahaha, you scared me. You should've told me you were coming! I didn't prepare any tea or snacks and my room is a mess! How terrible! Hahahahaha!

No you weren't! You promised you would take a proper break today!
Kanan
I know, but I just can't sit still!
Player
Ah! Kanan, wait!
Player
(I have to stop her and make her rest! But she's too fast… There's no way I'll catch up.)
Player
(Wait, she's not that far ahead… Does that mean she's matching her pace to mine? Is she making a game out of this?!)

*Pant* *Pant* *Pant* I can't…anymore…
Kanan
Great try, though! I didn't think you'd be able to last the whole way through.
Player
You're so mean, Kanan… I can't…move anymore…
Kanan
Sorry, I guess my teasing went a little too far. You can rest up at my place. Let's have some tea together.
Dia

Kanan

Dia
Goodness! I came expecting the worst, and look at what you're doing!
Hanamaru
Kanan, please take a proper break, zura!
Kanan
Geez, both of you showed up too? Looks like I'll have to postpone my break for a little longer!
Dia
Stop right there! I'll tie you to your bed if that's what it takes to make you rest!
Hanamaru
Nooo! Kanan, Dia! Don't leave me, zura!

W-Wait… If the both of you run too then this won't be a day of rest at all!
