Honoka Ep. 31: Working Folks Are So Admirable!
Chika pulls some strings and gets Honoka a work-study at the Tochiman ryokan inn. Honoka gains a strong sense of satisfaction as she learns about how many things need to be done for guests to enjoy their stay.
Honoka
I've cleared all the place settings and washed all the flatware!
Chika
Ooh! You work quick, Honoka! I'd say we can stop here for the day, but what do you think?
Honoka
I mean, we've still got some time left… Is there anything else we can do?
Player
You're really motivated, Honoka!
Honoka
*Giggle* I've only got so much time. I wanna do everything I possibly can!
Chika
Okay then, we've still gotta clean the outdoor bath. Let's do that together!
Honoka
All right! Thanks, Chika!
Player
Looks like your work-study's going pretty well, Honoka. Have you had any problems so far?
Honoka
Nope! Chika taught me. Plus, Shima and all the rest are so nice, so I know I'm going to have a great time working here!
Honoka
Although every now and then I feel really sore. Running a ryokan inn takes a lot more hard labor than I expected!
Chika
That's right! Even just washing dishes or making the beds is harder than you'd think just because of the sheer volume.
Honoka
Exactly. That's why I think working folks are totally admirable!
Player
I agree. Plus they have to do their work every day.
Honoka
You have to help out at the inn all the time, right Chika? Do you ever have days where you're like, I can't take it anymore!
Chika
Hmm… To be perfectly honest there are some times when it's annoying, but in the end I love this place so much I really do wanna help.
Honoka
You love the place, and want to help…
Chika
Yup! We've only got so many workers so we've all gotta work together!
Chika
But more than anything… I can't help wanting to see our guest's faces light up.
Chika
Oh, and even if I do complain my sisters will make me work anyways. *Giggle*
Chika
Oops, I gotta go greet the new guests! You can take five. We'll clean the outdoor bath together afterward!
Honoka
I get it. Because she loves it…

Honoka
Oh, nothing! Never mind!

At any rate, since I get to do this work-study I wanna learn everything I can from Chika and the Tochiman employees. I'll give it a hundred percent until the job is done!
