Honoka Ep. 30: All for the Guests!
A request on the school idol fansite prompts Honoka to participate in a work experience program. She wants to make people happy, and Chika's got just the thing in mind.

Hi, everybody! My name's Honoka Kosaka, and I'm here to get some work experience at the Tochiman Inn.
Honoka
I wanted to do some kind of job that would make folks happy, so that's why I'm here. Thanks for having me!

Thanks! I'm so excited I get to stay and work here at Tochiman. This is gonna be great.
Chika
And it's great to have you here, Honoka. This room's free, so set your bags down and make yourself at home.
Honoka
Thanks for inviting me, Chika! Oh boy, it's so relaxing here. It totally makes me want to take a dip in the hot spring and chill out.
Chika
Whoa, hold your horses! You're not here as a guest today, remember?
Honoka
Oh, whoops! I almost fell for the siren song of the ryokan inn!
Honoka
I gotta work hard so I can be a big help! Hey, is there anything I can work on? I'm down to do anything.
Chika
Sure. Can you start by picking up all the futons in the guest rooms and taking off their covers? Then you can air the futons out and remove the tea sets.
Honoka
Sure! We want our guests to enjoy their stay in nice, clean rooms, right?
Chika
You got it. When that's done, I'll give you something else to do. Let me know at any time if you get stuck!
Chika
Oh, and one more big thing! Make sure you greet any of the guests you happen to cross paths with.
Honoka
Gotcha! That's pretty important, huh?
Honoka
Let me try it out… Welcome back! We hope you enjoy your stay… Like that?
Chika
Yeah, that's perfect. All righty then, I'll let you get to it!

You sure have a lot of stuff to do, Honoka. Want me to lend a hand? It'll go by faster if we split up the work.
Honoka
No thanks. I appreciate the thought, but it's my work experience, so I'll give it a shot on my own!

Phew, I'm done! Chika checked it and gave me the okay too.

Great work, Honoka! I'm impressed that you finished so quickly. How was your first day on the job?
Honoka
I think my takeaway was that…all this work is connected, you know?
Honoka
Setting up the rooms, cleaning them, and greeting the guests is aaall about putting smiles on their faces. I thought it was great.
Player
Yeah, come to think of it, you're right. Since you want to make people happy, this is the perfect job for you!
Honoka
I got super into it when I thought about how it was all for the guests. I'm going to keep it up so I can make each and every one of them happy!
