Hanayo Ep. 32: With Kasumi!
Asked to come up with a new pastry, Hanayo and Kasumi try coming up with ideas separately. But things don't go well for either of them.
Hanayo
I chose the coffee-flavored iced cinnamon roll! It's quite the mature flavor.
Player
I went for the lemon tea pastry. It's tasty and has such a nice aroma. Here, have a bite, Hanayo.
Hanayo
Thanks! Wow, that's good! It has lemon rind and black tea leaves baked into it, huh?
Player
It's so nice and refreshing, isn't it? The cream on top is lemon flavored too. It's perfect from lemon lovers.
Hanayo
Pastry for lemon lovers, huh? Maybe it's a good idea to try coming up with new pastry ideas by thinking about who they're for?
Player
Hmm… I guess having a goal in mind makes it easier to come up with an idea.
Hanayo
Lemon lovers, people with a sweet tooth… Who should I make a pastry for, I wonder?
Player
Everyone has their own preferences in food, don't they?
Hanayo
That's right. It would be nice to make a pastry that pleases as many people as possible, though…
Hanayo
But that's tough. I wish I could ask Kasumi for advice…
[Fade in/out.]
Kasumi
Hmm…not quite right. My bread roll recipe is so perfect that it's tough coming up with a new one…
Kasumi
I suppose I'll just have to try changing the filling…
Kasumi
*Sigh* I wonder if Hanayo and the others came up with any new pastry ideas?

Hanayo
Wha?! So you were having a hard time coming up with new ideas too, Kasumi?
Kasumi
You too, Hanayo?

How about working together? It'll be great for your pastries and for the bakery you're doing your work-study with, too.
Hanayo
I wanna work with Kasumi too! I just know we can come up with a new idea together!
Kasumi
Ugh, I guess I have no choice… Let's think up something together!
Hanayo
Thanks, Kasumi! I wanted to come up with something that as many people as possible would like, but nothing was coming to mind.

It's amazing that they're letting us come up with new product ideas for our work-study. So I'm determined to come up with a wonderful pastry.

I tried changing the flour mixture, but it didn't turn out well. You can do so many different things with bread rolls that they're sure to please a lot of people, but…

I want to come up with something that'll please a lot of people, too! But I just can't think of anything…

Unlike you, all I know about is rice. But that's not much use to a bakery.
Kasumi
Oh! There's such a thing as rice flower, right?! I wonder if you can make bread rolls from that?
