Emma Ep. 2: Secret Date
Emma came to Japan after falling in love with school idols from a video she saw as a child. You ask her about her life in Switzerland, wondering what it was like.

Seeing as the weather is lovely, why don't we take a stroll through the park?
Player
Yeah, let's do that!
Emma
Odaiba is all modern, but it has some nice places close to nature, like this park.
Player
The sea is nearby, too. This place is actually all manmade reclaimed land, though.
Emma
Wait, it is?! This whole, huge area? But there are big trees. It doesn't look like it at all. There's so much nature around, making it great to take a walk.
Player
Emma, don't you ever get homesick? Even if there's nature here, isn't it totally different from what's in Switzerland?
Emma
*Chuckle* I got homesick when I first came to Japan, but not anymore. I'm working hard to become what I love, and I'm so busy with practice I have no time for it.
Player
Really? That's great!
Emma
Despite that, I do often think I want all of you guys to see Switzerland someday.
Emma
Everyone thinks of the snow-covered Alps when they think of Switzerland, but my country is wonderful all year round.
Player
What was your life like in Switzerland?
Emma
Good question. It was like living with nature.
Player
With nature?
Emma
Yeah. In the spring I took naps in a giant meadow, and in the summer, I'd play in the streams or under hidden waterfalls. I'd find blackberry trees on the way and help myself to some.
Emma
In the fall my siblings and I would forage for mushrooms. We'd even compete to see who got the most.
Player
Your family really gets along, huh?
Emma
Yeah! Then in the winter we'd gather by the big fireplace and read books or watch videos. Of course we'd watch school idol videos.
Player
Ahaha! Education for the whole family!
Emma
Yeah, I taught my younger siblings all about school idols and how great they are. They know now.
Player
Right. Then maybe one day you really could have a concert in Switzerland!
Emma
A concert in Switzerland… It's like a dream, but if it came true, I could invite my family and relatives to come!
Emma
Then at night, I'd invite everyone in the club back to my place, and we'd have a lot of great food!
Emma
The next day I'd take you to my favorite places. The secret waterfall is a secret, but I can show you guys.
Emma
Oh, I'd have to introduce you to the goats and sheep. I practiced in front of them so much, I'm sure they'd be surprised to see a real show!
