Shizuku #541: Home Theater
Rina
Videotape inserted, check. I'll set it to theater mode and turn on the speakers.
Shizuku
I got the popcorn, pizza, and cola ready.
Rina
Are we ready?
Rina
All right. Let's start our movie viewing.
Shizuku
Yes, let's!
[Fade in/out.]
Rina
Whoa. The story's full of twists right from the start. The homeroom teacher's fiancée marched right into the classroom.
Shizuku
Hmm. This is intriguing. The way the dialogue is written and acted are different from what we do now.
Rina
You can tell all of that?
Shizuku
Yes, since I watch a lot of movies.
Rina
Studious as ever, I see.
Shizuku
*Chuckle* You can't really say I'm studying when I'm just watching something I like.
Shizuku
Whether it's a stage play, a film, or a musical, I simply adore anything to do with drama…so I end up watching lots of stuff without even thinking about it.
Rina
I kinda get what you mean. I'm similar with stuff I adore. I end up unintentionally researching tons of things about old games myself.
Shizuku
See? Regardless, I must say that this actress's performance is incredible. I can't keep my eyes off of her.
Rina
Oh. Shizuku, do you maybe want me to stay quiet so you can focus as you watch?
Shizuku
Not at all. I do like watching intently like that, but I love chatting excitedly as I watch as well.
Shizuku
Also, I can't do the latter when I'm watching from somewhere like a movie theater. Don't you think that's the real pleasure of watching at home?
Rina
You might have a point.
Shizuku
We're free to enjoy the movie however we like. So today, I want us both to enjoy it as freely as we can!
