Ch. 4 Ep. 6: Gathered Prayers
It's the second day of the festival, and although the sun shines, the storm has scattered branches and garbage all over town, so the Festival Committee has decided to cancel today as well.
Mari
I'm back from talking to the Committee! They're taking back their decision to cancel the festival!
Chika
For real?!
You
Good work, Mari! I guess only the school chairwoman could convince them that quickly!
Player
The chairwoman? Who's that?
You
Mari is. She's a third-year student at the school, but she's also the chairwoman of it, too!
Player
Wh-What?! A student, the chairwoman, and a school idol? Wh-What kind of life do you live?
[Fade in/out.]
Mari
*Giggle* It's always best for a girl to have some mystery to her.
Player
Aqours is a fearsome group.
Dia
We're not all like that!
Mari
But with all the work we're putting into cleaning up the town and repairs, we're going to have to scale it down.
Chika
That's okay. It's more than enough that they reconsidered canceling it.
Riko
That's right. We have to do everything we can to get the festival started as soon as possible.
Mari
They're going to call for help with cleaning and repairs over the town P.A.
You
The town P.A.? I remember announcing our live shows on that when Aqours was just Riko, Chika and me. How nostalgic.
Hanamaru
That's much easier than going around door to door, zura!
Ruby
Great! I was worried about whether I could talk to all those people I didn't know.
Yoshiko
It would've taken all day to go door to door.
Player
Hey, Mari. Do you think I can make the announcement?
Player
I was the one that suggested we work with everyone in the town, so I want to take the responsibility of asking for their help.
[Fade in/out.]
You
Are you really saying that now?
Player
Huh?
Kanan
You're not the only one that's going to be the hero.
Dia
Have you thought about what you're going to say?
Player
U-Umm…
Chika
We all feel the same way about this. Let's go together.
Player
…Okay!
[Fade in/out.]
Chika
Garbage bags, check! Tongs, check! Gloves, check! Let's get some trash!
Everyone
Yeah!
Player
You're all such go-getters.
Chika
Well, it's better than skulking around, considering how they've officially announced that the festival is on.
Riko
I wonder if everyone heard the announcement. I hope a lot of people show up.
Chika
We told them how we feel about it. Now, we just have to do everything we can!
You
Whoa, I heard things were scattered around, but this is really bad!
Riko
The typhoon winds might have kicked around some garbage cans.
Ruby
All the paper lanterns are gone. Did they get blown away?
Dia
I assume they took them down before the typhoon came. We have to put those back up, too.
Yoshiko
There are plastic umbrellas everywhere. It certainly looks like the aftermath of a typhoon.
Hanamaru
We'll have to break them down and dispose of them in their proper areas, zura. The poles are metal and the plastic has to go into plastic recycling.
Townsperson A
Everyone, bring the umbrellas over here!
Yoshiko, Hanamaru
Huh?
Townsperson B
There are a lot of broken umbrellas thanks to the typhoon, so let's just get them all in one place for now.
Townsperson A
We won't let a little typhoon ruin our festival! Let's get to working on cleaning this place up!
Everyone
Y-Yeah…!
Tourist
Excuse me, can I buy some garbage bags at the convenience store?
Chika
What? Why not use one of these? We have plenty of extras!
Tourist
Are you sure? Thank you. I heard the announcement before. I came here for the festival, so I thought I'd help out!
Chika
Thank you so much!
Riko
Hey, is that person a tourist?
You
This is amazing. Not only Numazu locals, but even tourists are helping!
Player
I really want to take a picture of this. Everyone working together for the festival… I want this to be a moment people remember.
Chika
Good idea! Go for it, photographer!
Player
Just leave it to me!
Kanan
Hey, let's gather all the big garbage and bring it to a storage spot.
You
Kanan, is this a wagon? Where did you get this?
Kanan
A store owner in town brought it over for us. They said it'd be easier than taking each piece by hand.
Mari
People lent us all sorts of tools. It's a big help!
Dia
Not only the store owners, but many other people are lending tools from their houses, too.
Chika
All the locals and everyone looking forward to the festival heard our wishes.
Player
I'm glad we didn't give up and did what we could. Our hopes helped us reach our goal.
Chika
Okay! Let's clean all this stuff up and get the festival started! Let's bring our hopes and wishes to the festival!
