It's actually kind of embarrassing that I still need to be taught this so far into my life as a school idol fan.

Did I ever tell you why I decided to start this event?

I wanted to hold the school auditions and drag in people who had no interest in school idols. I wanted to increase the number of my fellow school idol lovers.

I believed that if I could gather more fans I could make the whole school idol scene more exciting.

But you guys went a step further and gathered more school idols instead of merely fans. How could anything possibly get more exciting than this?

My imagination and expectations were soooooooo puny in comparison. I'm actually embarrassed.

Shioriko, you must have put in so much effort as part of the student council too to bring all these people in.

And so the school auditions ended after we all threw ourselves and our passion into it while completely expecting to be disqualified.

The result was something that completely surpassed all of our expectations.

But in saying that, every day since I returned from studying abroad has surpassed my expectations. Thinking back, each day has been a challenge and an adventure.

Everyone has been through a lot, but we all made it out to the other side with new friends and new discoveries as school idols.

We were all able to grab hold of something that could never be replaced…

It really was like no other experience I've had. When we were performing, I could feel that everyone in that auditorium was connected. I felt like I was going to melt.

I've been feeling super energetic since! My usual five-kilometer marathon hasn't been enough for me, so I've been running ten kilometers, you know?

The school auditions are necessary, but it's completely up to the school's discretion to pick who will be representing them and how.

I feel like we kind of forced them to change the rules.

Maybe so, but I think the change was for the better for all the other schools out there that were having trouble like we were.

The original goal of the school auditions was to give school idols more exposure and raise school idol recognition in each school.

The change in rules does not inhibit that objective.

Well, I think we put Miss K through a lot with what we did. We should thank her properly.
