Yoshiko Ep. 15: Operation: Mend Those Bonds
You and Yoshiko try to think of ways for her to reconcile with her mom. You offer up a few suggestions, but nothing seems to stick.
Player
The whole reason for all of this is because you're not being upfront about yourself, so you need to tell her the truth.
Yoshiko
If I could do that then I wouldn't be having so much trouble right now!
Player
Right… How about you show her how grateful you are for everything she does? Nobody feels bad after getting thanked, and it might give you a chance to close the gap with her!
Yoshiko
I get where you're coming from, but it's super embarrassing saying things like that to your family! I'm not confident about being able to say it sincerely.
Player
It's effective precisely because you overcome the embarrassment, but… Okay, fine. We'll put that suggestion on the back burner for now.
Player
How about you cook something your mom likes to eat? Actually, no. Your fallen angel powers will be out of control when it comes to seasoning the dish.
Yoshiko
Why does it feel like I'm being insulted?
Player
You're imagining things, Mistress. Hmm. Why don't you give your mom a present? Something that she wants! She'll be thrilled and then everything will be patched over!
Yoshiko
Something that she wants? I can't think of anything.
Player
R-Really? I guess that's to be expected. You two don't speak often so there's no information to glean from. Hmm…
Yoshiko
How do you usually solve these kinds of problems?
Player
Me? Well, I don't really have arguments with my parents to begin with. I suppose I give them a clear apology and try to make things better by giving them presents.
Player
Or I'd write a letter and place it somewhere they'd notice. That was something I did as a kid, though—
Player
Of course! A letter! Let's write a letter! If you can't say it aloud, try to take the fight to her by writing out your feelings instead!
Yoshiko
Take the fight to her? What do you mean by that?! But a letter, huh? I suppose, I…uh…could do that. But, um, what should I write?
Player
Write about your true feelings for your mom. Let's get right into it, O Mistress Yohane!
[Fade in/out.]
Player
(I get to watch Aqours practice again today! I've got snacks to give everyone so I should hurry on over to the club—)
[Fade in/out.]
Yoshiko
Hello, little demon.
Option 1: “Yoshiko.” |
---|
Player Whoa! Yoshiko! Yoshiko It's Yo-ha-ne! You really have trouble remembering that, huh?! |
Option 2: “Mistress Yohane.” |
Player Oh! Mistress Yohane! Hello! Yoshiko Ah, you didn't mess up today. Well done. Keep that up and continue calling me by my proper name, okay? |
Player
*Chuckle* By the way, Mistress Yohane, you seem rather cheerful today. Is there a reason you're in such a good mood?
Yoshiko
Why, yes! Your efforts have led to the mending of ways with my housemate. I figured I should let you know since you offered me your assistance.
Player
Really?! That's great to hear! It sounds like your heartfelt letter got the message to your mom's heart then, Yoshi—I mean, Mistress Yohane.
Yoshiko
Indeed. I haven't told her everything yet, but I feel as though we've closed the gap a little. We talk a little more now as well.
Yoshiko
I just wonder if I will be able to tell her everything someday.
Player
You will. I know it.
Yoshiko
Yeah… You're right.
Yoshiko
You have worked dutifully once again for me. I just knew you were born into this world to become my closest attendant!
Player
I am not worthy of such praise! Oh! Don't forget to tell Hanamaru and Ruby as well, okay? They've been worried about you this whole time.
Yoshiko
I know! I'm planning on telling them after this. Come now! Time to head over to the clubroom, little demon!
