Riko Ep. 17: A Secret Decision
Riko sighs heavily on the way home after an off-course and chaotic meeting. You try to encourage Riko and offer her some advice.
Riko
*Sigh*
Player
Riko, are you okay?
Riko
Hm? Ohhh… Yeah, I'm fine… I probably am fine, yeah…
Player
You don't seem fine to me.
Riko
All we ended up deciding on was the event to perform at. We haven't locked anything in for our costumes, choreography, or setlist. Nothing.
Option 1: “Today's only your first day of preparations.” |
---|
Player Today's only your first day of preparations, so I think deciding on an event to perform at is pretty productive. A lot of the other stuff that needs to be decided takes time. Riko What'll we do if the event is the only thing that we decide on? Both Mari and Yoshiko are unstoppable when they get all excited. |
Option 2: “Mari and Yoshiko sure got carried away.” |
Player Mari and Yoshiko sure were something. They kept throwing down so many ideas, but every single one of them was, uh… How do I put it? Riko They always clash like they did today because they have different goals. It's also pretty hard to keep that all under control. |
Player
You did your best…
Riko
I'm sorry that you had to go through this on the first day of preparations when you went out of your way to come and help us out. I bet you were pretty surprised, huh?
Player
*Chuckle* Just a bit. I've never really experienced anything like what I did today, so it was a breath of fresh air.
Riko
I guess that's because everyone in Nijigasaki performs solo. Don't the girls ever have clashing opinions when it comes to what to do for live shows?
Player
Hmm… Sometimes they do share advice and opinions, but they generally respect each other's wishes so they don't really have arguments.
Player
But there are hiccups sometimes since they're part of the same club. Like the other day, one of the girls spilled juice on the pillow that Kanata was gonna use at her live show.
Riko
No way! That sounds like a disaster. What happened? Kanata doesn't really seem like the type to get angry to me.
Player
I don't think that she was angry in a very obvious way. I mean, she was giving off an aura for a while that made it hard to approach her… So yeah, I guess she was angry.
Riko
I bet it must've been really awkward for the girl who spilled the juice.
Player
Yeah, she was flustered for a while. Oh, it looks like they patched things over, though.
Player
There was also the time Kasumi caused chaos by giving people wasabi-filled bread rolls, and when some anime voice clips started blasting from Setsuna's phone during practice.
Riko
*Giggle* Everyone at Nijigasaki really is hilarious.
Player
And that's why there's never time for boredom!
Player
(But I don't think anything like today's discussion ever really happens. Even when it does, they mellow out as they argue and then try to get onto the same page…)
Player
You should try being more like Yoshiko and Mari.
Riko
What? Me? Be more like those two?
Player
Yeah. I'm sure that you have your own preferences for what kind of live show you want to perform and the things you want to do for it, right?
Riko
Well, yeah… But if I threw my opinions into the mix like Yoshiko and Mari, then it'd just be complete chaos.
Player
It's all three of you that make up Guilty Kiss, so I don't think you need to be so hesitant.
Player
And I saw how you were trying to settle things between them over and over again during the meeting. It's okay to just go with the flow like that!
Riko
Go with the flow… Like Yoshiko and Mari.
Player
That's right!
Player
(If she joins the fray with the same amount of passion, then I know it'll make for a great combination and lead them to the best outcome—)
Riko
Yeah. Maybe it is okay to just go wild and do what I want sometimes, just like Yoshiko and Mari.
Player
Huh? Uh, going wild and doing what you want is a bit removed from what I said…
Riko
Thanks for the advice. I'll do just that!
