Karin Ep. 29: A New Side
After you witness a new side to Karin's personality, she brings you to the seaside on a day off. You notice that here, she acts a little differently from usual.
Karin
Mmm! The sea breeze feels amazing!
Player
Yeah. And the sky and sea are so blue!
Player
Why the sudden urge to swim, though?
Karin
You know how I was telling you about my childhood before? Thinking about it just made me miss it a little.
Karin
I thought it would be nice to revisit what I used to do as a child once in a while.
Player
I see. I guess that means I get to see your playful side today.
Karin
*Giggle* Who knows?
[Fade in/out.]
Player
Karin, wait! I need a break! *Gasp* *Pant*
Karin
I guess if you really do need one…
Player
But wow, you're amazing at freediving. Just plain old swimming takes so much out of me.
Karin
I'm only average at it. It's second nature to the kids from the island and I've been playing with them since I was little.
Player
So, your stamina's something that's been built up from when you were young?
Karin
Hm… I've never really thought about it before, but you may be right.
Player
Hey, I'd love to try freediving too. Can you teach me?
Karin
Of course. It's a lot of fun.
Karin
But you seem a bit tired, so maybe we should do it a little later.
Option 1: “I'm fine!” |
---|
Player I'm fine! Karin You can't trick me, you know! |
Option 2: “How did you know…?” |
Player Agh. How did you know…? Karin You're much too green if you think you can trick me. Come back in another ten years! |
Karin
Do you want to do a little exploring around the shore?
Player
Exploring?
Karin
You can find all sorts of interesting things and living creatures that have washed up on the beach. I never get bored here.
Player
Wow… Exploring the beach instead of resting when you're tired? You really are playful today.
Karin
Yep. That's just how I'm feeling today! C'mon, let's go and explore!
[Fade in/out.]
Karin
Zzz… Zzz…
Player
She's fast asleep…
Player
She must've been the kind of kid to use up all her energy playing.
Karin
Mmm… I want to swim more…
