Kanata Ep. 23: Kanata, Female Ninjas, and Full Speed
At the grand school event that is the Nijigasaki Film Festival, clubs hoping to win will screen their films. Each club has asked a School Idol Club member for promotion help. Kanata's helping the Manga Club!

I can't wait for the Nijigasaki Film Festival.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Everyone looks like they're having so much fun promoting the other clubs' movies.
Kanata
Mm-hmm. I wonder how everything's turning out for them. I don't want anyone to show me up.
Kanata
First, the theme song. I wanna make something that fits perfectly.
Player
You're helping the Manga Club promote their movie, right?
Kanata
Yup, I am.
Player
What kind of song should we go for? Did the Manga Club already tell you what their movie is about?
Kanata
Umm, they're going to animate a manga that one of the members drew. They said it's a really action-packed battle one.
Kanata
The story's about a female ninja who defeats a ghostly monster who's been causing harm to humans since ancient times, and so she restores peace to the land.
Player
Ooh, that does sound intense.
Kanata
Right? So I thought a song like that could be good.
Player
Uh-huh… So something with a fast-paced feel that gets your blood pumping, maybe.
Player
Wouldn't that take the song in the direction of something you've never done before?
Kanata
I did consider that too.
Kanata
I'm not really sure if I can sing a song like that.
Player
Then how about we work on the song while keeping your performance style in mind?
Kanata

Kanata
I mean, the Manga Club picked me because they trust me.
Kanata
I want to live up to their expectations. I want to be able to proudly say that I was able to do a great job helping to promote the movie!
Player
Oh, Kanata… Okay then, let's do our best! Let's make something that knocks the socks off the Manga Club girls and all the viewers!
Kanata
Yeah! I'll work hard to do that. First I'm gonna get into character as a ninja girl so I can study up on female ninjas.
