I saw some flyers for volunteering on the notice board. I like kids, so I figured it would be fun to go play with them, but I would be less nervous if you came with me.

I was surprised at how well everyone sang.

Oh, it looks like the kids have a request for you.
Emma
Okay! What should I sing next? Huh? That kid over there is all alone. I wonder why.
Emma
Hey there! Why don't you come over here and join us in a song!

No, I don't sing.

It'll be fun with everyone, I promise.

That boy moved here recently and doesn't really have any friends yet. Hopefully, he'll come around in his own time.
Player
I see… Kids have plenty going on in their lives, too, so I'm sure he hasn't sorted his thoughts out yet. Maybe if we give him some space…
Emma
No, that doesn't work until you get older. We should be by his side, even if he doesn't like us.

He was watching us from a distance, so I think what he really wanted was to be with everyone, but didn't know how.

Yeah, I think you're right. Let's go look for him. He might be hiding somewhere.
