Eli Ep. 31: Fun Times
Although Eli had a lot of fun at her work-study at the children's center, things didn't exactly go as planned. Eli decides she needs to have a review meeting to determine what she could've done better.

Yes. Specifically about when we read out loud at the children's center. Things didn't exactly go as planned and I needed quite a bit of help…
Eli
I wanted to ask your opinions on if there was anything I could have done better.

I kinda feel like things went pretty well, myself.
Eli
What about you, Shioriko? You can be completely honest. I want to know what you think!
Shioriko
Let me see… I wouldn't say anything in particular. I enjoyed it.
Eli
What?! You can't be serious!
Shioriko
Recall that the point was never to make everyone do the same activity. In my opinion, as long as the kids had a fun time that's all that matters.
Eli
I…suppose so. You're not wrong.
Shioriko
All their little faces were lit up with joy. I don't believe we have anything to improve on!
Eli
Thank you, Shioriko. I guess it's more important to watch how the kids are reacting than to fret over whether or not I'm accomplishing my own goals!

I had a tone of fun playing with all the kiddos. Didn't you, Eli?

In the moment I didn't really have time to enjoy myself…
Eli
That's why I want to go back to the transitional class and try again. Next time I'll be sure to slow down and have fun!

What do you want to play today? Blocks? Of course we can!
Eli
And you want to play rock-paper-scissors? All right then, why don't we play by picking blocks that are shaped like our choice?

*Giggle* The kids aren't the only ones smiling. You're grinning from ear to ear, Eli!
Eli
Hee hee. You bet I am. I'm playing with everyone today!
Eli
Asking them individually makes figuring out the order of what we play go a lot smoother. Making it fun is what truly matters.
Eli
Of course, I've done nothing but been a burden on you and Shioriko all day…
