All righty, so what are we doing today?

We need to discuss a bunch of stuff for the School Idol Festival, right? It's all about the songs, right? Let's write a new song!

We'll also want revamped costumes with that, right? I have to think of some new designs!

Yay! I'm getting excited!

Aside from the songs and costumes, we also need to get permission for different things and arrange for equipment to even get the School Idol Festival off the ground.

We need to figure out the amount and type of sound and lighting equipment we'll need for our setup.

Advertising is another must. This event won't succeed if people don't come. We need to get posters up and a website made for our marketing campaign!

If we want to serve food and drinks, we need to recruit some vendors. We must also submit the required paperwork to the health department.

On the day of the event there will be a lot of people between us performers, the staff, and attendees, so we need to consult the police department about security.

We must also check that we have procedures in place to deal with the injured or unwell, as well as an evacuation route for emergencies.

It would also probably be a good idea to write up a list of nearby hotels and ryokan inns. I'm sure there will be people coming from out of town.

Won't we also need a manual with detailed event procedures for the volunteers helping during the event?

The fire station also needs to be in the loop if any of the food stands plan to use open flames.

There's that much to do?!

Aren't those all behind-the-scenes jobs?! That's so boring!

Normally event organizers would take care of all these things, and we'd be able to just focus on our on-stage performances.

However, this School Idol Festival is something we're creating from scratch ourselves. Even if these behind-the-scenes jobs seem lackluster, they're extremely important.

You make a good point. No matter how small the task, nothing we do for the School Idol Festival is a waste of time or energy.

Yep! I want this to be a resounding success, especially because we're doing everything ourselves. And we'll feel even happier with the final result.
