Nijiiro Passions! (Adv+)

Song Hints

Song Gimmick

The Song Gimmick hits all non-Sk Cards with an uncleansable -50% Appeal. However, make sure to consider Attribute Match bonuses - at 27.5% bonus from Bond Boards, the effective Appeal debuff for an on-attribute non-Sk is only about 22.5%. With that, these cards might be worth more than off-attribute Sk cards.

Damage

With a Base Note Damage of 1479 and 60k additional damage from damage notes, a powerful SustainSustain: A collective term for any kind of damage mitigation - Healing, Shielding and Damage Reduction cards. is a must. CGd You can easily be used here, even if you're equipping Necklaces. A 3 Gd Strategy or DR should be considered for the damage notes, which are right next to each other.

SP Appeal Chances

The first SP AC ends 51 notes after the start and requires 285k Voltage. If you can't reach that Voltage in one SP, you must be able to charge two SPs within that time. That will require an SP Filler.

The second SP AC is 53 notes long and requires 406k Voltage. Even with one SP Filler you might only reach 2 SPs. If you can't get 203k Voltage SPs, you have two options - either bring a full SP Fillter strategy which can barely get three SPs in the AC if you're lucky, or tank the AC Failure Damage if you don't need the 1 million gained from the AC Reward Voltage.

Skill Appeal Chances

While not the highest requirement at 38% activations for each of the Skill ACs, it's still not close to guaranteed. Both matching attribute and group give a 20% Chance bonus each.

AC3/5 Pass Chance Nijigaku cards
0 1 2 3
Active cards 0 44.16% 66.12% 83.09% 93.26%
1 66.12% 80.98% 92.14% 97.50%
2 83.09% 92.14% 96.98% 99.27%
3 93.26% 97.50% 99.27% 99.84%

Useful Cards

With base note damage this high, CGd You can proc even if you were running a full Gd Strategy and have two MSL Necklaces on top. She will help a lot with keeping Stamina up.
Easily the best frontline defender you can have for this song. ASk Fes Eli heavily benefits from the Gimmicks and her LSALSA: Short for "Live Show Ability". The second Ability of a Card. can heal up early damage before she can build up Shield.
The Niji ASk cards can dodge every debuff and take every buff in this song. They both have Skills and Abilities that can work well with the higher tap cap of Adv+.
If your SP Voltage is not high enough to one-shot the SP ACs, you'll definitely need a SP Filler to two-shot. One option is ASk Nico, who can get around the Song Gimmick, so she can help even if she's an older card. But there's also a lot of choices for great Active SP Fillers, where the Attribute Match bonus, especially if you worked on their Bond Board, should help against the Appeal debuff. Of course, other Sk SP Fillers can also work, but they will not receive buffs from the Gimmicks.
If you have a lot of LBs on them, there's a good chance that the usual suspects, like AVo Fes Setsuna, can just eat the 50% Appeal debuff from the Song Gimmick and still be fairly powerful. Don't forget about them.

Imagine having good Active Sks. This Formation barely eeked out an S Rank.

Full Active Nijigaku in the main strategy makes the Skill ACs pretty much impossible to fail.

SPs are strong enough to clear both ACs in two SPs, but it requires switching to Green in order to have Fes Kasu help charge, which bleeds a lot of Voltage. However, Initial You being in there means she helps a little with keeping up Stamina while switched.

Being able to S Rank is so tight that the deciding factor is whether Dia procs her DR on the damage notes on top of the 10% Strategy Type DR. If Dia procs within three taps, reset and just switch earlier.

24.9m Voltage, probably with AVo Fes Kanan guest.

Red was the frontline, with my highest-appeal Sk-type card (Umi), best SK healer (You), and Kasumi as a filler to try and get the SP ACs done with quickly.

Green is clearly appeal+ backline, blue has more healers (You for backline healing, Ayumu because Niji + active attribute so I can switch to this strategy for Skill ACs, Mari because Sk-type and high appeal).

Using my best Sk units and ASp Party Maru to make sure I have the skill activation ACs sort of covered, having 2 Active idols should work most of the time.

My units can one-shot each SP AC even without ASp Party Marus LSA or Skill being factored in so I am pretty sure this team also works on lower Limit Breaks.

CGd You makes sure I have enough sustain for the song, I did not test ASk Fes Eli for my sole sustain but she should be enough if you are not unlucky with skill activations and crits (at least on MLB). Rest of backline is just using my best Appeal All boosters.

The score I got on my first attempt was around 39m.

Small update to my Formation from above, now comfortably S-ranking with 22.5m on a first play with bad RNG ( AVo Fes Kanan guest).

It still has the same challenge as the other one - need to two-shot the SP ACs - but I've gotten ASp Ai since then and replaced AVo Party Ai with her in the frontline, which means I don't have to switch to a seperate strategy to charge SP.

With no DR though, I had to add some necklaces and put NSp Riko for that little bit of extra support. I still dropped to red Stamina from the damage notes, but it was good enough™ to clear the rest of the ACs. If Ayumu would wake up, I might stay in yellow Stamina even without Riko…

This team utilizes brute force with a single filler frontline, AVo Fes Kanan guest. Needs to double SP both SP ACs.

Keeps in green until the damage notes, which depletes stamina to red. However, it goes back to green around when it clears the last AC and stays there until the end of the song.

No issues with skill ACs nor the voltage ones. Sometimes the SP cycle allows for an SP right as the voltage AC begins.

My attempts are around 35m.
