Yes. The cast for our next play is being announced today.
Player
Ooh, I see. Are you nervous about finding out which role you'll play?
Shizuku
I am!
Shizuku
But I'm trying not to think about it too much ahead of time. If I find myself wishing I'd gotten another role instead, I don't think I'd be able to throw myself into the one I do get.
Shizuku
I want to take on the role I get with a fresh attitude. That's how I'm looking at it.
Player
I see. Que sera, sera, right?
Shizuku
*Giggle* Mm-hmm!
Shizuku
All right, I'm heading off now. I'll tell you what role I got tomorrow!
Player
Okay!
[Fade in/out.]
Shizuku
*Sigh*
Player
What's wrong, Shizuku?! Does this have to do with the casting announcement from yesterday?
Shizuku
Yes… Actually, the role I got is one with no lines at all.
Player
Your role has no lines?
Shizuku
Yes. So to make up for that, I'll need to use facial expressions and body movements to portray the character.
Shizuku
But I don't have even the slightest idea of how I'd do that. I'm feeling worried…
Player
So that's why you're so down. But you know—

So why don't you give it a try? If it really does feel too hard, let's cross that bridge when we get to it.

Yes! Thank you. I was on the verge of forgetting something crucial.
Shizuku
I want to take on this role without any preconceived notions, just going by my own instinct.
Player
I'll do whatever I can to help. And maybe you should try asking the others for advice too.
Player
