Shioriko #876: You said you'd take me to play ball.
Shioriko
Is that a home run?
Mia
Nah, the ball's going too high. It won't reach the stands.
Shioriko
Oh, you're correct. It became a left-field fly ball.
Mia
But the swing itself wasn't bad. They've been number three in the home run rankings right now, but if they keep this up, they could try for number one.
Shioriko
You can tell just by looking at it, I see.
Mia
Yeah, but just if it's a good or bad swing. I mean, I've been watching them play ever since they debuted.
Mia
I watched them make their first ever home run in person, you know.
Shioriko
Oh my. So you go to baseball stadiums too?
Mia
Well, yeah. Watching on TV's not bad, but being in person is a whole other level of fun.
Mia
There's nothing like getting hyped up with everyone in a huge stadium.
Shioriko
I see. I suppose that it's the same with school idol shows.
Shioriko
There is something special about seeing a live show in person at the venue.
Shioriko
A certain excitement, I suppose.
Shioriko
Mia, would you take me to a ball game some time?
Mia
Sure, but I've only ever been to baseball games in the US before. I don't know a ton about Japanese baseball.
Shioriko
Well, then that will make this a new and exciting experience for you too. Let's go watch a game together!
Mia
Okay. I'll show you how cool baseball is.
Shioriko
Then let us waste no time and buy our tickets. It's very last minute…but I believe we can get tickets for a game tomorrow. How does that sound?
Mia
Wow. You move fast.
