Hanamaru #313: Raking Up Leaves
Hanamaru
How are things over there?
Player
I'm not sure. No matter how much I rake up, I still see leaves everywhere.
Hanamaru
There's so many trees around my home, it's hard to see the end, zura.
Player
This is pretty hard work. Do you really rake leaves every day, Hanamaru?
Hanamaru
It's tough, but if I skip even one day, cleanup gets that much harder.
Player
You have to work so hard.
Option 1: “I'm sure it's good exercise.” |
---|
Player I'm sure it's good exercise, though. It'll build your endurance. Hanamaru When you put it that way, you might be right. |
Option 2: “You're so dedicated.” |
Player You're so dedicated. Hanamaru *Chuckle* You're making me blush, zura. |
Hanamaru
Oh yeah. There's a reward waiting for us after we're done here, so let's rake these leaves!
Player
A reward?
Hanamaru
Roasted sweet potatoes, zura!
Player
Oh, yeah! We can roast them in a pile of leaves!
Hanamaru
You got it!
Player
Ahaha. That's some serious motivation. I'm sure they'll be tasty.
Hanamaru
They'll be suuuper tasty, zura! You'll stuff yourself like a chipmunk.
Player
You keep raising the bar.
Hanamaru
On top of that, we'll be using sweet potatoes my neighbor picked just for us.
Player
The deal just keeps getting sweeter.
Hanamaru
I'm really sorry for making you come help me with chores on your day off, though.
Player
Don't worry about it. You're not making me miss anything.
Hanamaru
That's a relief to hear.
Player
If there's ever anything I can help you with, you can come to me anytime.
Hanamaru
Are you sure about that? I might start going to you for everything.
Player
I'll happily come help you with anything you ask, Hanamaru.
Hanamaru
Really?! Y-You don't have to go that far. When you say stuff like that, I get so embarrassed.
Hanamaru
Uhh… Oh, I-I know. Since you came all the way out here, do you wanna stay the night, zura?
Player
I don't want to intrude.
Hanamaru
It's no problem. I actually want you to stay. That way I can have you try other Uchiura specialties besides the sweet potatoes too.
Hanamaru
And we can spend the whole night chatting away. Fall nights are long, and I'm not letting you sleep a wink, zura!
