Eli #270: Let's Put on an Act
Eli
I can't believe we're fabricating a thief to get Hanayo and Yoshiko to work together better.
Eli
I have no problem with doing a little improv, but do you think they'll fall for it?
Kanan
I think it'll be fine.
Eli
It'll be fine? How can you say that?
Kanan
This is Yoshiko we're talking about. There's no way she'd ignore that kind of drama.
Eli
Now that you mention it… Maybe you're right.
Eli
It was Yoshiko who wanted to do a detective musical in the first place.
Eli
And she volunteered herself to be the main character. You can tell she's really excited about it.
Eli
She's super passionate about playing her role, way more than everyone else.
Eli
I think you're right, Kanan. Yoshiko right now would totally fall for a made-up incident about a thief.
Kanan
Well, her extra enthusiasm is partly what's keeping her from working well with Hanayo, so she might need to tone it down.
Eli
All right, let's get this thievery started. Hmm… First, we should hide the tablecloth.
Kanan
Oh, Kanata told us to use this, too.
Eli
What's this? A card?
Kanan
It's a note the thief leaves after stealing a treasure.
Eli
“I've taken your tablecloth. —Mysterious Thief K,” huh. *Giggle* Someone is enjoying this.
Kanan
Haha! Kanata is super into this.
Eli
Everyone's into it, huh.
Kanan
Don't you enjoy this sort of thing too, Eli?
Eli
*Giggle* Now that we've decided to do it, we might as well enjoy ourselves!
