There once was a girl named Honoka. Honoka loved candy and waited all year for Halloween. The day was finally here.

“Trick or treat, give me some candy or prepare to get tricked!”

Honoka was so happy as she went around the neighborhood collecting treats with her friends.

However, she realized that there was one house that no one visited. People called it the witch's house, so none of her friends dared to get near it.

With a big smile, Honoka proclaimed that she was going to the witch's house, and left her friends behind.

Honoka, why must you always give in to your gluttony?

This character isn't the real Honoka, you know.

But Honoka herself would totally go.

There has to be something awesome at that house if it's called the witch's house, right?

Like some treats we've never heard of?

Exactly!

That has me intrigued. I'd go with her.

Phew. What do you think? I worked hard to write that story, but I'm not sure.

I loved how it ended with Honoka planting the single pumpkin seed she got at the witch's house and looking forward to it growing. She wasn't disappointed in the least.

“If I can grow a pumpkin, I can have pumpkin pie,” was the line I focused on making most Honoka-like for the character! I'm happy you noticed that!

Pumpkin pie is so delicious. I'd want to make pumpkin pudding and dango dumplings with pumpkin paste too.
