Umi Ep. 8: Umi's Weakness
You and Umi decide to work together to prepare for her solo live show when you discover an unexpected weakness of hers.

I am so stoked to see everyone in ÎĽ's perform solo!
Umi
Me too! However, I have a lot of prep work to do since I have my own solo performance as well.
Umi
I usually take the stage with the whole group, but this time I'll be standing alone…so I'm a little anxious about it.
Player
(She looks a little disheartened… Umi really is nervous about this.)
Player
Is there anything about your solo show that's worrying you? If there's anything I can help with, I'm here for you.
Umi
Well, maybe. I think one good thing about ÎĽ's is that we are all able to make up for each other's shortcomings.
Player
I never even thought of that. You're right, one of the reasons ÎĽ's' live shows are so fun is because you all have your own, unique charm.
Umi
I agree. That's why I am concerned that my shortcomings may be on full display in my solo performance.
Player
Do you even have any shortcomings? You seem pretty capable of anything to me…
Umi
Capable of anything? Don't be ridiculous! For one thing, I'm not very good at playing to the crowd…
Player
You're not?

| Player I suppose performing solo is more nerve-wracking than usual. Umi Precisely. I think this nervousness is far more intense than when all nine of us take to the stage. Player I can imagine. |

I'm just kind of surprised.
Umi
Why is that?
Player
I've just always seen you as the kind of person who is good at everything.
Umi
Is that so? I know people tend to see me as highly capable, but…that really is not the case at all.
Umi
I still don't have the confidence to stand on stage by myself…
Player
Really? Then I'll just have to keep supporting you until you gain that confidence!
Umi
Thank you very much. Your support is always so helpful. But why would you go to such lengths for me?
Player
Maybe it's because I like you so much?
Umi
Wha?! Wh-Wh-What did you say just now?
Player
I really like the way you always put on such emotional performances. If you put that into your solo live show, I think it'll be great.
Umi
Oh, you meant my performance… O-Of course you did.
Umi
*Cough* Please refrain from saying such misleading things.
Player
Misleading? What do you mean?
Umi
