Shioriko Ep. 3: A School Idol's Beliefs?
Shioriko does an impeccable job with her school idol activities, student council work, and lessons. But one day, she comes to you for advice.
Shioriko
I would like to discuss my song, if you don't mind.
Player
What's up? You can talk to me about anything.
Shioriko
Thank you.
Player
Have you decided what kind of song you'd like to sing?
Shioriko
I actually have no ideas at all. That's why I wanted to talk to you about it.
Player
Oh, okay. Was it too difficult to decide?
Shioriko
You asked what kind of song I would like to sing… I'm assuming you mean what I hope for it to embody?
Shioriko
My hope is to be a productive school idol. Of that I am certain. But I do not have any other wishes beyond that.
Player
Shioriko…
Shioriko
What kind of song do I want to sing?
Shioriko
I consulted the other club members about it.
Player
And?
Shioriko
I realized one thing. Everyone has an idea of who they want to become, or what feelings they want to express, because they believe in themselves as school idols.
Shioriko
The only thing clear to me at the moment is that I would like to become a school idol. That is all.
Shioriko
I thought consulting the others would give me a better idea, but I'm even more confused about it now.
Player
I see. I'd have to say I'm a little surprised. You always seem so decisive, and you never seem to falter.
Shioriko
You think so?
Player
You can always objectively analyze what someone's aptitude is, can't you? Not only that, but you give great advice about how people can be better versions of themselves.
Player
So, I'm just surprised that you're doubting yourself.
Shioriko
You may be right.
Shioriko
I can see other people's strengths, but I am so blind to my own.
Shioriko
I will never arrive at an answer at this rate and will end up inconveniencing you, too.
Option 1: “Don't worry about me.” |
---|
Player You don't have to worry about me. Shioriko But I mustn't leave things the way they are now. |
Option 2: “Friends help each other out.” |
Player Friends help each other out, right? Shioriko That's true… I rely on you so much. |
Player
There's no rush. Take your time to find an answer you're happy with. I'll help you.
Shioriko
Yes, I would like to think more about what sort of school idol I'd like to become.
Player
I know you can do it, Shioriko. Sorry, I know that's not very helpful advice.
Shioriko
No, I appreciate it. I feel better after talking to you. Thank you.
