Riko Ep. 12: In a Fog
Riko takes you to a café. There, after you finally calm down and get back to your usual self, Riko confronts you.
Riko
Now then, let's eat. The cake here is really good. I'm gonna dig in, so go ahead and help yourself as well!
Player
Don't mind if I do.
Option 1: “It's so good.” |
---|
Player *Munch* It's so deliciously sweet. Riko Right? I came here before with all of Aqours as well. |
Option 2: “This flavor's so soothing.” |
Player *Munch* You're right. There's something about the flavor that makes it soothing. Riko *Chuckle* The cake you're eating is Chika's favorite. She ordered it last time all of Aqours came here too. |
Riko
Chika and You had just gotten their allowances, so they ordered a whole bunch. Dia got so mad because she thought they weren't thinking ahead about their money.
Player
Ahaha!
Riko
You seem like you've calmed down a bit.
Player
Yeah. I'm sorry, I just kind of…got caught up in the moment.
Riko
Don't worry about it. More importantly, can you tell me what happened?
Player
I told you before that we have to get ready for an event, right?
Riko
You did. The Nijigasaki School Idol Club will be performing a live show, so you're writing their songs. Could it be that…?
Player
I haven't written anything yet. After talking to you I felt so much better, and I thought I was good to go, but I still haven't made any progress.
Riko
I had no idea.
Player
We just started our school idol activities not that long ago, so we need to be on stage as much as possible if we want people to remember us.
Player
Whatever songs they sing will be the image people have of them. That's why I have to write songs that will help everyone shine as bright as they possibly can.
Riko
You always have their best interests at heart.
Player
Of course I do! We're all doing our best together. If it's within my abilities, I want to do whatever I can to help. I want to keep pushing on with them.
Player
And that's why I need to put my all into writing these songs. So that the audience will remember them and fall in love with them.
Player
But…no matter how hard I wrack my brain, I can't come up with any songs that fit the bill. I don't even know what kind of songs might be the best.
Player
So…I ran away.
Riko
You ran away?
Player
I wanted to forget about it all. The song. The event. Everything. So I came somewhere where none of that mattered. I avoided everyone working hard and headed off on my own.
Player
Now I don't even know how I ever wrote songs for everyone. Yet, in some corner of my mind, I still can't stop thinking about songwriting.
Player
I'm just so disappointed in myself. I don't know how to go face everyone anymore.
Riko
So your call that day was an SOS from you. I'm so sorry, I should have taken more time to listen to you.
Player
You didn't do anything wrong! I didn't realize how stressed I was about this that day either.
Player
It's my fault that I couldn't solve this problem myself.
Riko
This might be presumptuous of me to say, but I know exactly how you feel.
Riko
The more you try to think about others, the less you know what to do. I've felt like that before too. Just recently actually.
Player
Recently?
Riko
Yes. We might actually be pretty similar. Not just our roles, but the way our minds work, too.
