Mia Ep. 4: Lit up with What She Loves
You decide to spend some time studying in the library. As you're walking over, you run into Mia. You ask her if she also has self-study, and she replies that she's “technically studying” by herself.
Player
I wasn't expecting to have some time for self-studying. Oh well, I guess I could go and get some music history books from the library and… Huh?
Player
Mia?!
Mia
Huh? Little Baby?
Mia
Why are you here when you should be in class?
Player
I ended up having a self-study period, so I was just about to head to the library. Do you have self-study too?
Mia
Um, well… I'm technically studying by myself, so…
Player
Huh? You're technically studying by yourself…which means you're skipping class, right?
Mia
Geez, why did you have to call me out!
Player
You shouldn't be skipping class, you know?
Mia
Who cares about gym class? I don't get the point of marathon running.
Player
Marathon running, huh? I mean, I know that it's pretty tough and all, but you still shouldn't skip it.
Mia
Hey, come on! I already graduated high school back in the States, so there's really no reason for me to keep on studying here.
Mia
Especially when it comes to marathon running.
Player
Hmmm. I guess if you already graduated then there might be something to what you're saying…
Mia
Yeah, because I'm right. Anyway, I don't need to learn how to exercise my body properly. If it were a strategic class where I could really use my brain, then I'd take it.
Player
A gym class where you strategize? Do they even have classes like that?
Mia
Geez, this is why you'll always be a little baby. What sport requires both strategic thinking and technical prowess?
Mia
It's baseball, obviously.
Player
Baseball?
Mia
You have to analyze your opponents and lay them completely bare. That way, you can figure out a winning strategy for every situation.
Mia
There aren't any other games that get my blood pumping like this. If I got a perfect team together, then we could have ourselves an amazing game.
Mia
But you see, the goddess of victory is a fickle mistress. No matter how much you plan for a game, there will always be things that you can't predict.
Mia
Such things will mess with each and every player's individual strengths.
Mia
That's when the truly unexpected plays happen and get passed down to future generations. That's how they become legendary!
Mia
Have you ever seen the museum that's in our stadium in New York? It's jam-packed with legends like that.
