Maki Ep. 34: I Want to See Those Smiles
Maki continues to prepare for the upcoming ÎĽ's live show. You pay a visit to Otonokizaka, and hear the familiar sound of the piano coming from the music room.

A piano? That must be Maki.

Maki
Hm? You're here?
Player
Yeah! I heard you playing the piano.
Maki
Wow, you could tell it was me?
Player
Of course! I can always recognize your playing, no matter where or when.
Maki
That well? *Giggle* Impressive.
Maki
Are you here to prepare for the ÎĽ's live show?
Player
Yup! I'm going around asking everyone if there's anything I can help with.
Maki
Would you mind giving me a little of your time? Let's play the piano together.
Player
Really? I'd be happy to!
[Fade in/out.]
Player
Hearing you play the piano always fills me with delight, especially when we play together.
Maki
*Giggle* I think you said something like that around the time we met.
Maki
Although I wasn't too happy with you stepping on my turf at first… I probably said something rude to you.
Player
No, not at all!
Maki
You know, I think as we got closer, I stopped being so stubborn about things, little by little.
Maki
Including things I was too indecisive about to get anywhere.
Maki
I hope I can show you how much I've grown at the next live show.
Player
You've really pushed yourself a lot, haven't you? You're incredible, Maki.
Maki
Whenever I push myself, it seems like things end up working out. I realized that what's important is giving it a try to begin with.
Maki
Actually, it's doing so many different things that's made me realize how important the piano is to me.
Maki
It's exciting to think that I can keep on doing even more amazing things through playing the piano.
Player
Maki…!

I'm so happy to get to hear you play piano at a live show. I know I always say this, but I really do love listening to you play.
Maki
Thanks. You know I like seeing you so happy too, right?
Player
Maki… Is that how you feel?
Maki
You know, I never really used to think I enjoyed seeing people's smiling faces, but now I want to make as many people smile as I can.
Maki
