Maki Ep. 29: Ready for Some Life Experience?
You and Maki made some incredible cabbage rolls, teaching her the importance of trying things even when she isn't very good at them. Maki approaches the work experience program with that same mindset, but then things take a turn.

There's a work experience project? For Yoshiko and me?

Yup! We got a request from the school idol fansite that said they wanted to see the two of you working somewhere.
Maki
I see. Well, it'd also make for good life experience. It sounds interesting. Let's do our best, Yoshiko!
Yoshiko
It's Yohane, not Yoshiko! And sure, this sounds like it'd be a fun thing to try.

There's a cute little café nearby that you guys could work at. I think it's the one you said you really like, Maki.
Maki
Huh?! You want me to work there?
Maki
…I think I'd actually better sit this one out.
Player
Huh? Why? I mean, I won't push you, but…
Maki

Huh? But the request was for you and me to work together!
Yoshiko
And you literally just said that it'd give you good life experience! And that it sounded fun!
Maki

If you like the idea of the work experience itself, how come working at the café isn't up your alley?
Yoshiko
Yeah, tell us! You can't just duck out of this for no reason.
Maki
…I'm not very good at acting friendly, and I'm no good at cooking either. I doubt I could make the customers happy.
Maki
And it's my favorite café to boot. I don't want to sour things there.
Maki
I am interested in working, though. Aren't there other options? Maybe, say, at a job where I wouldn't have to deal with people…

Oh, Maki… I see what you're thinking now.

Not cut out for this, not cut out for that! That's all I hear from you. Hmph. I didn't realize you were such a coward, Maki!
Yoshiko
If you're gonna be like that, then I'll just do it all myself! Time to sink Maki's favorite café into the ebony darkness of the demon world!
Maki
D-Don't do that! Anything but that!
Yoshiko
Nay! The darkness is too strong, and I cannot hold it at bay alone! Maki, please. You must help me stem the tide of my dark powers!
Player
Well, how about it? I'll be here to cheer you on, so I'm sure you'll do a great job.
Maki
