Kotori Ep. 17: An Important Balance
Kotori announces that she wants to create beautiful costumes for the Printemps live show. She has some difficulty implementing her experiences from the fashion show, however.

Kotori
Yep! How does this one look?
Player
Wow, it's gorgeous! Is this outfit for Hanayo? It's so pretty.
Kotori
I wanted to make the most of my experience running that fashion show recently, so I thought I might try a brand-new kind of costume design…
Player
I'm all for it! This already looks way different from anything you've designed before.
Kotori
But as it is now, this design would completely throw off the balance between our costumes.
Player
The balance between the costumes? Is it bad to upset that balance?
Kotori
Yes. Balancing is vital! If the balance of our costumes is off when we stand on stage, I'm sure they won't draw out our school idol charms to their full potential.
Kotori
Making regular clothes and making school idol costumes are really different, you see. I'm really stuck on it.
Player

Wow, I've never seen patterned fabric like this before! I wonder if it's a new product. It's so cute! If I used this for a costume, I could embroider it here—
Player
*Chuckle* You look like you're enjoying yourself, Kotori.

Kotori

We came here to buy fabric for our new costumes. How about you two?
Kotori
Um… I'm not coming up with any ideas for costume designs… So I came here hoping to find some inspiration.
You
What?! So you get designer's block too, Kotori?
Kotori
Of course I do!
Ruby
Is that right? Cool, that's one thing we have in common.
Kotori
I've fallen into a bit of a funk since I can't come up with anything.
You
You're overthinking it! We all have times when the ideas aren't flowing. It's totally normal. Right, Ruby?
Ruby
Yeah! I make a lot of mistakes, but sometimes I think those mistakes are what help me succeed in the end.
Kotori
I see… So I'm not the only one.
Player
That's reassuring, right, Kotori?

Thank you! I'll try my hardest to think up a costume that'll make everyone sit up and take notice!
