Dia Ep. 13: Dia vs the Thrill Ride
You and Dia are enjoying the amusement park and the many rides it has to offer, but how will Dia react to your suggestion for the next ride?
Dia
Hoo, that was so much fun! I had no idea amusement parks were this amazing!

| Player We got to ride so many rides! Dia The merry-go-round, the teacups, the tram, and then the mirror house. We got to enjoy all of them without having to wait. |
| Option 2: “Amusement parks are a blast.” |
| Player We hit up the merry-go-round, the Ferris wheel, and the Sky Cycle. Amusement parks are so much fun! Dia That they are. Today was an extraordinary day filled with so many rides and the sound of laughter all around. Sometimes coming to a place like this is just what you need. |
Player
Say, Dia, do you wanna try riding that next?
Dia
Which ride? W-Wait, that one?!
Player
It's a super long roller coaster with a max speed of 130 kilometers an hour! It's the most popular ride at this amusement park, so we can't leave without riding it!
Dia
…Wh-What sort of merits does riding it have for us?
Dia
A ride that fast will not even give us time to take in the scenery, plus it puts a huge strain on the body, which is bad for children or those with heart conditions.
Player
What? But I totally think it'd be tons of fun. It crawls along before really hitting the gas, so you can take in the scenery then. I bet it's got a nice view.
Dia
W-Well, that could be true…
Player
Could it be that…you're scared?
Dia
Urgh…
Player
Okay, you don't have to if it's too scary for you. I wanted to ride it with you, but I can't force you to ride it if you're scared. Yep, we'll just have to give up on it.
Dia
Stop right there! Who said anything about being scared? Thrill rides are about as scary as a cute little paper plane to me!
Player
I could search across the entire world, but I don't think I'd find anyone else that would put thrill rides on the same level as a paper plane.
Dia
Th-The only thing that I was bothered by was that usually rides like that have exceedingly long lines, so getting to ride them takes a while.
Player
I share those feelings about the long lines, but I don't think that's something we need to worry about this time. Look.
Dia
What?
Player
The line is actually pretty short right now. If we get in line right now, we can probably ride on the next one!
Dia
Ughh… Understood! I will show you how well I can handle this…thrill ride!
Player
(I think I might've provoked her a bit too much.)
Dia
…Ughhh.
Player
Dia, open your eyes. Look at the great view all around us. It's so clear that we can see for miles.
Dia
The sound of the coaster moving along the rails feels like a countdown to our demise.
Player
You're not necessarily wrong about that. We're about to make a pretty much straight vertical plunge from eighty meters up.
Dia
You don't have to go out of your way to put it into words!
Player
All right, I'm sorry. But, Dia, you really are scared, aren't you?
Dia
Don't look down on me! I will smile the whole time we go down this drop—huh? We stop—
Player
Whoaaa! We made it to the top, which means we're about to fa—
Dia
Ah, ah, ah… EEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKK!!!
