Chika Ep. 27: A Day off on the Farm
Chika wants to have a fun time that's also chill, so you suggest going to a farm. Looking forward to all the fun new things the farm has in store, you both head on in.
Chika
Aaand we're at the farm! Hurry up, hurry up!
Player
Slow down, Chika. We've got plenty of time to have fun, so let's take our time looking around.
Chika
I know, but I've been looking forward to this ever since we decided to come here!
Player
That's good to hear. We can pet the animals and try all kinds of things here, so I thought this place would be exactly what you wanted.
Chika
Let's have lots of fun today! Now, what to do first? All right, let's go say hi to the cows! Can't go to a farm without seeing some cows, right?
Player
It seems you can try milking them, so we should be able to find some there. Looks like there's also goats and sheep along with some rabbits at the petting area.
Chika
I wanna go there! I want to try milking a cow too. We're going to have THE true farm experience, you know!
Player
*Giggle* Right. Now that we've come here to this farm, we should try everything we can.
Chika
All right, we've got the milking locked in then! We'll go to the petting area next, and then… After that…
Player
Slow down, slow down. There's a guide map over there. Let's go look at it and see what they have.
Chika
Sure!
[Fade in/out.]
Chika
*Lick* Mmm, delicious! This is the tastiest soft serve I've ever had! *Laugh* It has such a milky taste!

| Player Apparently, it's the most popular thing on this farm. Almost everyone who comes here seems to have one. Chika It's not like they could come here and just leave without having something this good! Oh, it's so deliciously sweet! It really hits the spot after a busy day of fun. |
[Fade in/out.]
Player
*Laugh* We did a lot of new things today. How did you find the milking experience?
Chika
Well, first off, I was surprised at how big the cow was! I've never seen one from up close, after all.
Player
Right. But you looked pretty calm from where I was standing, Chika.
Chika
Really? I guess that's because it was a well-behaved cow. It stayed still the whole time I was milking it. It felt like we were on the same wavelength.
Player
I don't think that was necessarily just your imagination, Chika. You looked like a complete natural, milking that cow.
Chika
*Laugh* The butter-churning experience was fun too. I never knew it was as simple as putting fresh cream into a jar and shaking it until it turned into butter!
Player
Right? The preparation and the process are simple enough, but it's still hard work…
Chika
*Laugh* It really does take a lot of shaking! Shake, shake, shake!
Player
My arms are still dead from it, yet you look totally fine. I've got to hand it to you.
Chika
That's what you get from daily training! …Just kidding. My arms were tired after all that too.
Chika
But when I saw the butter I made, all that tiredness just disappeared! Looking at the fruits of my labor filled me with pride.
Player
I was really impressed too. Maybe I could try making some at home as well. I'd love to spread it on some hot toast.
Chika
Ooh, maybe I'll make some at home too! The only question is, what would I spread my butter on? Toast? Pancakes? Maybe a fluffy baked potato…
Chika
I know, I could let Shima and Mito try some too! I bet they'd be shocked to hear I made the butter myself. *Giggle* I can't wait!
